Q: Do I get a table and chair on my stand?
A: Yes, each artist will get
one small plinth for artist’s
promotional material (600mm square on the top and 710mm high)
and one collapsible black chair.
Q: Will we have to hang our own works?
A: Yes, each Artist must curate their own space and is responsible
for hanging their artwork. The boards that you will be hanging
onto are made of MDF (9mm thick and weigh 30kg per metre). When
hanging your works it is best to use ordinary wood screws, nails
or picture hooks. There will be no provision for supplying electricity
so the artist will need to bring with them manual or battery
power tools.
Q: Will you provide ladders for hanging works?
A: You will have to provide your own ladders, as our insurance
does not cover for this liability.
Q: What happens when someone wants to buy my work?
A: If they want to take it away
with them, you simply notify reception and a member of staff
will come and remove the piece
from the your stand to be wrapped. A member of the reception
staff then deals with the payment for the work and issues a receipt
for both you and the buyer. But if the buyer wants to have the
piece delivered then a deposit of 50% is paid at reception and
the buyer pays the remaining 50% directly to the you once delivery
has taken place. You are then responsible for organising the
delivery, of the art work, and final payment with the buyer. |
