in London is back'...
Dubbed the St Paul's Cathedral of the East End, Christ Church
is a landmark of the City borders. Regarded by most as Hawksmoor's
masterpiece, Christchurch is situated in Commercial Street
a short walk from Liverpool St. underground station, and was
built between 1714-1729.The magnificent interior has been
ushered back to life and the transformation is truly spectacular,
and stands as one of the fines examples of Baroque architecture
in Britain.
Spitalfields is famous for its creativity, youth, market and
for Brick Lane but also a fashionable meeting point for the
City and the East End.
Christchurch is outside the congestion zone with local car
parking facilities, and is minutes walking distance from Liverpool
Street station.
