BACKGROUND
At the end of 2005, the Spitalfields regeneration programme was completed. Spitalfields is no longer considered just a Sunday destination it has evolved into one of London's favourite and most vibrant areas.

The Spitalfields regeneration resulted in the creation of two new public spaces, one of which, Market Street hosts Prelude art events. Prelude monthly art events  have been running since 2006. They run over the first Fri, Sat and Sun of each month (excluding August), and for  weekly for six days events  in December.

The area also hosts a public art programme, cutting edge traders and food market, an events programme, and a selection of carefully selected retailers and restaurants. For further information go to www.spitalfields.co.uk.
